After enjoying our favourite beverages, we usually toss paper cups into a garbage bin. But Kolkata-based 23-year-old artist, Joyeeta Bose, look at them as unique canvases to display her creativity. Her artwork is a contrast of creating something of great detail on an object that’s so disposable and valueless. And, this makes her creations even more fascinating.

Studying BFA at Indian College of Arts & Draftsmanship, Joyeeta started scribbling fun illustrations on leftover cups after one house party. Slowly it caught up her interest and she began using paper cups as a canvas for her artistic works.

With a few ordinary paper cups and a little creativity, she draws pictures depicting typical scenes from everyday life. For these eye-catching drawings and paintings on paper cups, she usually uses watercolours, acrylics, markers, sketch pens and sometimes coffee.

These crafty paper cups can be used as peppy home decor pieces to cherish your each day. Besides paper cup art, she also makes amazing paintings which are enough to inspire others and tickle their creativity.
