But after looking at the amazing art pieces by Italian artist Martina Billi, your urge to scribble on a wooden desk may arise again. Unlike usual canvases, she uses recycled wood to create her illustrations with a pen. A Pen? Yes, you read that right! This common writing instrument may not the first choice of any artist to draw on wood. But Billi likes creating realistic animal drawings with pens.

Most of her work is inspired by nature and animal wisdom. The main focus of her work is on the connection and ancient knowledge of the animal kingdom, creating a visual dialogue between the painting and the viewer. The fine detailing on each artwork will simply leave you amazed at her dedication and the hard work that she must have put in her each illustration.
