While researchers in various fields are focusing on alternative ways to harness energy in an environmentally-friendly manner, Harshul Rattan Vikramaditya Negi, a 15-year-old boy from Himachal Pradesh, has built electricity-generating shoes to charge devices. A specially designed device resides in the footwear to harnesses the kinetic energy as people walk.

Brian Kesinger is one imaginative artist who knows well how to put TEA into art. He works as a story artist for Disney animation by day but by night he unwinds himself with a hot cup of tea – using it as a unique medium to create steampunk art.

While some storytellers narrate their stories through plays or via written scripts in form of novels, Mumbai-based husband-wife duo, Hari Panicker and Deepti Nair, makes use of paper cut art and light to tell fascinating tales. Bringing life to their paper art through backlighting, the duo manages to take the viewers on a beautiful journey to mythical lands.

Giving contemporary touch to traditional instruments, Russian husband-wife duo recreates Siberian Drums with realistic animal paintings. Hailing from Krasnoyarsk in Russia, Irina and Vladislav sustain the ancestral essence of the instruments by designing them in a traditional way. However, the realistic paintings on these drums add modern aesthetic appeal to each piece.
