Bone carving is a pre-historic art form of sculpting animal bones, particularly antlers and horns, into ornamental decor pieces, statues, musical instruments and other useful objects. However, with the changing times and things easily available online, urban people have forgotten this age-old art form. But Abrar Ahmad, a 70-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh, is still trying to keep the ancient art of bone carving alive.

You may have seen beautifully painted moulted bird feathers before, but Washington-based artist Chris Maynard has taken feather art to whole new level. The ingenious artist creatively carves shedded bird feathers and turn them into intricate works of art – portraying silhouettes of birds while flying, singing, and perching across the canvas.

India’s renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has made it to the Guinness World Record for creating the world’s tallest sand castle on Puri beach. With the backdrop of Bay of Bengal, the intricate sand castle has been made by the professional sand artist and his team of over 30 students from Sudarsan Sand Art Institute.
